Cookay
Tom was gone all weekend watching spring training baseball in Florida with the guys. I was relatively productive; I cleaned the bathroom, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, hauled some clutter out of the living room… not a bad few days.
Tom expected to get home in the middle of the afternoon while I was at work, so I made him some Welcome Home Cookies. It was just the regular back-of-the-chip-bag recipe, but I used three kinds of chocolate chips (milk, semisweet, and dark chocolate), dark instead of light brown sugar, and the fancy Mexican vanilla from Penzey’s.
These are the best cookies I have ever made. I enjoyed two of them, still warm from the oven, with a big glass of milk. I admire my own restraint. ![]()
