…here’s a little photo I snapped at the farmer’s market a little over a week ago. I can confirm that the Persian Cukes description is accurate, as they stayed crunchy in a vinegary salad even through the next day.

hi tiffany, i enjoyed your comments in last week’s pittsburgh p-g, becoz FINALLY there really is an objective pittsburgher out there somewhere, who WILL admit that the sun doesn’t shine often enuff around here! its true, we do get 6 months of grey skies here every winter! it sucks! but jeez, so many pittsburghers (and i was born here) think this place is the hanging gardens of babylon…they can’t or won’t admit that the weather just may be a little nicer elsewhere…it drives me crazy…its such a pittsburgh thing, y’know?
