Merlin uses a text file on his computer to prevent himself from making ridiculous and unnecessary purchases. I use Amazon’s Wishlist. See something I want but don’t really need? Add it to the wishlist… I get most of the reptilian hunter-gatherer satisfaction, but don’t actually spend any money.
