gratuitous mushiness
Four years ago, Tom and I went on our first date. And this is the last year when March 16 is our big anniversary. Tom wished me a happy anniversary this morning, and said, “Best decision I ever made.”
Mine too. 
But really, I think it was more a series of small decisions that all add up to a much bigger one. And that’s the way it should be.
