Sunday night relaxing
Sunday nights have become Couple Time for Tom and me. This week, and often during other weeks, we’re busy Monday-Saturday and won’t get to see much of one another except for commuting, when we’ll both be road-raging. So Sunday nights have become pretty important recovery/relaxation time. They usually involve a home cooked meal, a bottle of wine, and Sunday Night TV- Currently Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy. It was of course Carnivale until a few weeks ago. Tonight dinner was chicken quesadillas with fresh homemade salsa and a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio.
Speaking of Carnivale, since the finale I’ve been scouring the intarweb for news of whether there are going to be more seasons. I’ve stumbled onto a Yahoo group run by the Clancy Brown (Brother Justin) fan club people. The reason this particular group is interesting to me is that Dan Knauf, the creator of the show, is an occasional participang in the group. There’s also a chat room run by some of the members that Knauf, as well as several cast members, participate in. The chat has been visited by most of the supporting cast, as well as Clancy Brown, and it’s cool to read the transcripts and see how gracious they all are. Of course, there’s a career interest in it- the more they can maintain fan interest during the hiatus, the better chance the show has of being renewed. But even still, they’ve all been very friendly and generous with their time, and it’s cool to get the writer’s and actors’ perspectives on the plot.
