What’s in YOUR wallet bag?
Tom shares the contents of his various bags. I did an entry like this a while back, but my lifestyle has changed since then, so I figure it’s time to re-assess.
I too have three bags.
The Purse: Contains the stuff I need/want to have with me on a daily basis.
- wallet
- phone
- camera
- prescription medication
- lip balm
- assorted get-presentable-in-a-hurry makeup items
- feminine hygeine items
- hairbrush
- breath mints
- spare memory card for the camera
- business cards
- tissues
- checkbook
- pens
- iPod, with headphones, in an iPod sock
- USB charger for the phone
- all-purpose black hair scrunchie
So basically, the girl-geek-on-the-go bag.
The Timbuk2 messenger bag- I use this when I need to take my laptop somewhere. In addition to my purse, it typically contains:
- 12″ powerbook in sleeve
- power adapter for powerbook
- iPod sync cable
- camera cable
- camera charger
- assorted pens and highlighters
- the bracelet I was wearing last time I was using the laptop and got tired of the scraping noise, usually the charm bracelet
- ponytail elastics
And finally, the Company Bag. I just got this one- it’s heavy black nylon with blue accents, and the company logo embroidered in blue on the front. I use this for going to client visits when I need to carry extra stuff. It contains:
- An extra pen
- A notebook
- Some company-imprint notepaper
- A couple of folders of marketing collateral
- Company schwag to give as gifts to clients
- My planner, which I’m trying to give up in favor of a less bulky and more syncable PDA.
