Quibbling.net Policies

Just so there’s no confusion:

1. I write this site for my enjoyment, not yours. I’m glad when other people enjoy it, and while I’m happy to consider suggestions, I’m under no obligation to enhance your experience at the expense of mine. I especially do not write this site for your children, and worrying about what they see on the Internet is your job, not mine.

2. All materials hosted at Quibbling.net are copyright 2002-2006, Tiffany Baxendell Bridge, unless otherwise noted (such as comments by readers), and all rights are reserved. But if you ask me nicely, I’m usually happy to share. If you don’t ask and just steal (like my bandwidth or images), you’re agreeing to view whatever alternate images I deem suitable to substitute. So unless you really like gay porn, don’t steal from me. Photos of mine hosted at Flickr are released under a Creative Commons license, and I encourage you to read that to see what the rules are.

3. Comments: Lively debate is encouraged and enthusiastically welcomed. Assholitry is not; the “don’t be a dick” rule applies. Assholitry will be met with appropriate counter-measures, including but not limited to: comment deletion, IP-banning, and public ridicule. What I consider to be assholitry, and therefore take action on, may be perfectly acceptable somewhere else, and what I consider acceptable may not be tolerated somewhere else- that’s really not my problem. In case you’re wondering, though, I take a particularly dim view of personal attacks, threats, and epithets of a racial, sexual, religious, or ethnic nature. If you want to engage in that kind of behavior, get your own damn blog because you won’t be doing it here.

4. Parties posting unsolicited commercial messages to Quibbling.net agree to pay $500 per message posted as an administrative fee for managing the moderation queue. The fee for bypassing the moderation queue is an additional $200.
