….when you stick Tom and me in a photo booth.

We went to Ocean City this weekend to attend the wedding of our dear friends Don & Susan. In order to complete the beach theme, they had wanted to have a photo booth at the reception, but renting them is kind of cost-prohibitive. Don’s pretty handy, though, so he rigged one himself, by hooking up a digital SLR to a laptop, a printer, and a microcontroller that would tie it all together. The whole thing was really quite brilliant, and printed your strip of photos right next to a photo of Don & Susan and a photo of the date of their wedding written in the sand on the OC beach. Awesome.
We had a great time at the wedding- lots of fun meeting Don & Susan’s friends, and the sight of Don grinning like an idiot after the ceremony was pretty great, too.
